Tanzania Safari - 3 Days Lake Manyara,
Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti Safari Tour
In the morning you will be picked up from your
Hotel/Lodge in Arusha and driven 130kms with lunch boxes and
proceed to Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game drive.
Start game viewing through underground water forest, proceed to
acacia woodland savannah open land, pass by hot water spring and
proceed to Lake Manyara National Park which is the home for many
flamingoes and other water birds. The Park also hosts
tree-climbing lions, hippos, elephants, zebras, buffaloes,
giraffes, baboons, blue and velvet monkey, warthog and more.
About 350 species of birds have been recorded. In the afternoon
there will be a break to have your picnic lunch, then leave the
Park and drive to Ngorongoro to arrive on time for dinner and
overnight stay in one of the lodges or campsite – superbly
perched on the rim of the Crater. Early morning breakfast in your
lodge at Ngorongoro and then drive immediately to the Great
Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. Tanzania’s oldest and
most popular national park, the Serengeti is famed for its
annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open
plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s
gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing yet even
when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the
most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of
buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands
upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s
gazelle. Therefore as you leave the Ngorongoro you will continue
with game drives en-route. Before reaching Seronera (an area
located in the heart of Serengeti), you will continue to explore
the vast rich-game animal plains of Serengeti National Park.
During the afternoon stop over for picnic lunch shortly before
you continue with game drive. In the evening leave the Park and
proceed to Seronera for dinner and overnight stay in one of the
lodges or campsite. Wake up for early morning breakfast
and collect your picnic lunch. Drive across the Serengeti plains
then to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you
immediately descend into the Crater base for a full day tour.
All the big five - rhino, lion, elephant, leopard and buffalo
live in this wonderful caldera. Others are zebra, hippo,
wildebeest, hyena, and more can be seen. The birdlife is so
abundant and it includes many flamingoes round the Soda Lake,
geese, storks and vultures. Your lunch will be served at the
picnic site in the Crater at Ngoitoktok Swamp which is a Hippo
pool. After lunch drive back to Arusha arriving after sunset. |
